Getting gorgeous curls

There are many different ways to get beautiful curls such as perms, hot rollers or a curling iron. Two of my personal favorites that I have the best luck with, when it comes to long thick hair is using a round brush/blow dryer method, or by using perm rods or even the plastic or flexible rollers you can find at any beauty supply store, or even at places like CVS, Walgreens, Wal-Mart and even Dollar Tree/99 cent stores.

The day of – I would give at least 4 hours time for the curls to set and you to run the blow dryer over all the curls every 30 minutes for the first 2-3 hours and every 15 minutes the last 1-2 hours. Make sure you have no more damp sections. After you are finished, loosely unroll the curls. DO NOT BRUSH. Brushing will make it very frizzy! To style use your fingers and a quality holding spray.

The night before – wrap damp hair the night before in rollers of your choice/size of your choice. I sometimes use a light moose before rolling or a light spray after. let set over night. Once you get closer to the time you need to take the rollers out. Check and make sure all curls are completely dry. If not run a blow dryer over the curls and let cool.Once all curls are dry you can begin unraveling each curl, unravel loosely and DO NOT BRUSH. Style, and finish with a quality holding spray.

I find these 2 methods give me the longest lasting curls versus using a curling iron or any other method. I have had the curls last until I wash my hair!

Have long hair but don’t want to take the large amount of time it can mean to fashion
an updo hairstyle of any sort? Just because your attending an elegant occasion does not
mean it automatically requires an elegant updo hairstyle of sorts!

You can easily opt for long, sexy, sleek and straight. By using a flat iron you can achieve
this look very easily, and it is versatile enough for many other events and occasions as
well. If a flat iron is not your thing using something as simple as a flat brush and blow
dryer on damp hair can work as well. Part your hair in different sections, zig zags
or one of my personal favorites First part your hair down the middle, after using a flat
Iron or flat brush/blow dryer combo, take about 2-3 inches of hair from the front and
neatly tuck them behind the ears, add shine spray, and a good but flexible holding spray.
You can also fasten these strands if say your bangs are short or its hard to keep them
behind your ears with a coated bobby pin close in color to your hair color.

Another option is to Use hot rollers/curling iron or a round brush and blow dryer to
create beautiful curls basically from ear length down, and then fashioning the hair so it
sits swept onto one preferred side. This hairstyle is essentially easy once you get past the
curling and can usually last all evening without problems if you use good quality products.

Lastly top with a great pair of earrings to show off!

How to get straight sleek hair!

No matter what length your hair is, at one point or another you will most likely want your hair
just a little bit straighter than it is! Straight sleek hairstyles are very popular not with
just the teen crowd but young and older generations as well.

First off, start with damp hair, you might consider using if you already have on hand a
smooth or straightening type of shampoo and conditioner. However this is not exactly necessary
it just helps. I also recommend using a deep conditioner as well.

Lastly finish with a light shine spray for a healthy glow and shine, followed by a quality
hold hair spray. You don’t want to weight your hair down or make it appear very stiff so
use lightly.
