Camilla Belle’s shoulder length hairstyle

January 30th, 2009 by jodypag

Camilla Belle is wearing her hair in a shoulder length hairstyle while attending the film premiere for ‘Push’ at the Mann Village Theater in Westwood, California.

I love shoulder length cuts especially on thick hair because its not too short but not so long that it takes ages to brush and style. Camilla Belle is wearing her shoulder length locks in a simple but sexy hairstyle. Camilla Belle’s hair is roughly shoulder length, then her hair is curled (most likely with rollers) in large thick curls at the ends. Her front section of her hair is also gathered and sleekly styled and tucked behind her ear to keep her hair away from her face and eyes. Overall this is a simple classic hairstyle that looks great anywhere and works well for almost any face shape. The only thing I recommend beyond this is a better styling product to keep the flyaways at bay as you can see in the photo Camilla Belle’s hair looks very thick and healthy but she has many many flyaways which sometime can make or break a a great hairstyle!

Headband How to – Create a Sexy, Simple Hairstyle With Headbands

January 29th, 2009 by jodypag

The headband is one simple hair accessory that offers women an easy, foolproof way to create a look that’s both fresh and pretty; simply toss one on and you can look instantly pulled together without coming off as fussy or overly formal. Throwing on a headband is such an easy way to deal with a bad (and/or lazy) hair day, and a great alternative to your average ponytail. And if you throw on a sparkly headband, then suddenly you look a little dressed up. It’s easier and, arguable, sexier than the standard updo. Try wearing a headband at night, coupled with a sexy smoky eye, or you can throw on a thin sparkly band during the day with your favorite tee or tank. Who doesn’t love a little shot of glamour juxtaposed with a casual outfit?

Headbands are also incredibly affordable; considering their low cost, you can pick up two or even three in order to give yourself some choices when attempting this look. Wear them one at a time, or pair them up for some extra fun. How do you make the headband really look fresh? The trick is to make sure you have plenty of messy volume in the hair behind the band. Follow these three simple steps to create this sexy style:

1. Flip your head over, in order to create volume and allow access to the roots of your hair.

2. Tease away – apply some volumizing cream or spray to the roots for extra hold and body.

3. Finally, pull your hair back; if your hair is short, just twist and pin your locks, and if your hair is long, pin into a messy bun. Slide on your headband to smooth the front down, and voila! You’re ready to go. What could be easier? Check out our site for more beauty tips!

America Ferrera’s elegant low ponytail hairstyle

January 29th, 2009 by jodypag

America Ferrera sporting a simple but sexy low ponytail hairstyle while attending the 15th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards. America Ferrera can currently be seen on the television show “Ugly Betty”.

Ponytail hairstyles are very versatile which makes them so wonderful to use. Not one for hair-creativity? Don’t have the time for that special even but need a great hairstyle? There are many many ways to fashion a ponytail hairstyle!

The high ponytail – Fashioned high above the head this is great for long hair which you can then curl the ends, or shorter hair where you can make the shorter strands stick or fan out and make a statement or curl for a more elegant look.

The low ponytail – Fashioned usually at the nape this hairstyle can also work for elegant, casual or office occasions. You can also fashion the ponytail low to the side, leave straight or add curls.

The loose ponytail – Loose ponytail hairstyles are becoming very popular for both casual and elegant events! The “Loose” part is actually not entirely the ponytail itself but the hair on your head should not be pulled as tight as a regular ponytail hairstyle. Loosen strands and add curls for a romantic but elegant look that can work anywhere.

These are just a few short examples of the versatility the ponytail can give you when you are looking for that perfect hairstyle! Enjoy!

Jennifer Morrison’s elegant long hairstyle

January 29th, 2009 by jodypag

Jennifer Morrison is wearing a sexy, elegant long hairstyle while attending A Taste for a Cure, hosted by Jimmy Kimmel with a live performance by ‘American Idol’ winner David Cook at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Los Angeles, California.

I love this hairstyle and her hair its just gorgeous perfect as a wedding hairstyle, prom hairstyle, elegant hairstyle or if you just want to show off your gorgeous locks or feel especially beautiful for the day!.
You can try to do a similar hairstyle by doing the following:

With rollers or a large curling iron curl your hair midway (not too close to the scalp).

Once hair is completely curled, gather bobby pins preferably in a color as close to your own hair color! Also take out any special clip you might want to use too.

The way this hairstyle is done is her very front bangs are left to the side to elegantly frame her face, you want to go a inch inwards and use about 2-3 inches wide of your hair paying in mind you do not want to go too far back/ too close to the back of the head. You will then take these strands and pull them around to the back of your hair pinning and clipping low enough to lightly pull out and fluff out strands of hair from the back and top of your head like the picture shows. Use bobby pins to hold side strands in place of you wish, also a few in the back to help hold strands in and out.

Kyra Sedwick’s lovely long hairstyle at the 15th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards

January 29th, 2009 by jodypag

Kyra Sedgwick is wearing her hair in a long messy hairstyle while attending the 15th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards.

This hairstyle is very easy to do and a great fit for Kyra Sedgwick and her gown at the 15th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards.

Here are some great tips on how to achieve a similar long messy hairstyle.

1. Whether you want more curl or more of the messy “just got out of bed” look you need a premium hair product that will help achieve the maximum hold and flexibility.

2. You can do this hairstyle 2 different ways. Curling the hair loosely, or with wet hair. With curling your hair you will definitely have more body to the hairstyle overall and more curl/wave to it. With wet hair think the “wet hair look of the 90’s” but without so much hair product! For wet hair you will simply towel dry your hair, then add your hairstyling product rubbed between your hands and “crunch” your hair while occasionally taking time to also bend your head down and give it a crunch and shake. Curling your hair you can of course have it dry and work the curls between your hands, while adding your hairstyling product>

This is a very easy hairstyle however it cant be pulled off by anyone so i definitely recommend trying it out and testing which methods work for you and whether overall the style looks well with your face shape and features.

Amy Smart’s medium length blonde hairstyle

January 28th, 2009 by jodypag

Amy Smart is wearing her hair in a sexy simple medium length blonde hairstyle while attending The Art of Elysium 2nd Annual Black Tie Charity Gala “Heaven” held at The Vibiana Los Angeles, California.

Amy Smart’s hairstyle is very simple but very neat and healthy looking which makes her hairstyle overall look very beautiful and elegant for the occasion.

Medium length hair is probably the most versatile choice out there for today’s modern women. These hairstyles vary between long hairstyles and short hair styles. Many women find a mid-length haircut is a great option for many different types of hair texture, rather it be thin and brittle, thick, or just right. Medium hairstyles also are very versatile in the different number of updos, bobs, and various other styles that can be combined with the hair to create some gorgeous looks that is easier to maintain than longer locks while providing looks that are more comfortable and more flattering than shorter hair cuts.

Medium hairstyles match most facial shapes well as there is just enough hair complimenting the facial region and improve other features. Hairstyles with hair length to the shoulders or a small bit above them bring out many facial features with many options for styling. The bob, the shag, and the straight cut are some popular mid-length hairstyles. One classic medium length cut is the bob. A bob is a haircut that’s all one length and ranges from chin length to shoulder length. Bobs can be curly or straight depending on your hair texture, and look fantastic either way. They’re versatile as well, and can easily be upswept for an evening look or left hanging freely for a cute, feminine look. Another great medium length cut is the shag. A shag cut involves cutting layers of various lengths into hair.

Catherine Zeta Jones sexy long hairstyle with curls

January 28th, 2009 by jodypag

Catherine Zeta-Jones is wearing her hair in a sexy long hairstyle with round loose thick curls while at the 20th Annual Producers Guild Awards, held at the Hollywood Palladium in California.

I love this hairstyle on Catherine Zeta Jones its simple but very sexy and works well with her face shape! Her hair color is also something to really look at it is solid, and looks very healthy!

Long hair style is hotter and more popular than ever.
People that are lucky enough to have long hair are always looking for new and interesting ways to wear their hair. People who can’t grow their own long tresses are opting for add-on hair and extensions. The long layered hairstyles can be achieved with minor differences in the knocks. Both the hairstyles give cute as well as elegant look for any special occasion. A easy way to updo the long hairstyle is a simple pony tail with a French twist. This hairstyle gives a classic and exotic look that can be achieved in just a few seconds.

Curled – Curl it then put it in a lose bun using a pony tail holder or if u have the time put it up using bobby pins or barrettes. After you get out of the shower let it dry until its damp and get allot of hair gel(considering your hair is so long) and put it on your hands and comb it through your hair using you fingers then when there is hair gel evenly through all your hair then crimp it by wadding parts up it in your hands and it will give it a cute but simple wavy look

Crimped hairstyles

Half-up Half-down hairstyles

Bun hairstyles

Messy Bun hairstyles

Pony Tail hairstyles

Messy Pony tail hairstyles

If you have long hair but it is on the thin side, use less ponytails and smaller braids. You can also braid all the way to the end of the strand or leave some hair to fly free.

It is very important what you eat, as it truly does affect your hair. Hair is made up of ninety percent a-keratin protein and ten percent water. For this reason avoid crash diets or low protein diets. Long hair is fragile and needs intensive conditioning and caring. The length should be trimmed regularly and the hair brushed each day using a pure, bristle brush. The bristles literally polish the hair gently spreading the natural oils from roots to ends. Combs should he wide toothed, smooth ended and of a high quality.

There a classic look for long-haired women that has been around for centuries – literally. Not only is it attractive, but it’s functional. Yet it doesn’t have a name, per se but can be described as a half up half down hairstyle, just a description: pulled back at the temples. A young girl or woman with long flowing locks has taken a slim lock of hair from the area of her temples and pulled them back and bound them together behind her head.

If you have relatively thick long hair you can modify the multi-pony by adding more than 3 separate sections. Experiment with as many ponytails as you like. While the look certainly is more contemporary than professional, you love the new style.

Teri Hatcher’s elegant hairstyle at the 15th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards

January 28th, 2009 by jodypag

Teri Hatcher is wearing her shoulder length locks in a elegant hairstyle while at the 15th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards.

I love how the waves, and curls have really added thickness and elegance to her hairstyle while being a very easy elegant hairstyle to achieve as well!

Medium length hairstyles are great for layering because of their versatility. Layering medium hair length correctly by framing the facial area often brings out a person’s eyes, lips, and other facial features in a non-obtrusive manner. A medium length cut can be worn curly, wavy or straight. For gorgeous curls, use a curl enhancing spray or mousse on damp hair and blow dry with a diffuser. To define particular strands, curl with a 1/2 inch curling iron or set on small hot rollers. There are so many ways to layer medium length hairstyles because it is long enough to go short in different areas and short enough to keep in others. The simple flow down medium hairstyle is popular because it is very simple. Just letting your hair flow down with either bangs down or parted with additional waves, ringlets, or curls at the ends.

Elegant Bun hairstyles are filled with glamour. Elegant Bun hairstyles are part of the many things that can make your elegant occasion preparation stressful along with your dress, jewelry and make up. Between choosing which dress to wear along with what kind of jewelry and makeup, not to mention the shoes, your elegant hairstyle is going to have to find it’s place to fit in. Julie Benz updo hairstyle at the 15th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards

January 27th, 2009 by jodypag

Julie Benz is wearing her hair in a elegant updo hairstyle while attending the 15th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards.

Here are some ideas to create and choose your elegant hairstyle like Julie Benz and other celebrity hairstyles:

- Put your hair up and create a stylish elegant updo. For many girls and women the most stylish hairstyle is an updo, and when would you wear your most stylish hairstyle if not at your wedding, prom or special occasion? Pick an updo that makes you look great – pick an updo that works with your face and your outfit.

You can have a simple hair updo (as far as updos go), or you can have a very intricate and involved one. Of course, it is up to you which one you would like to choose. To create an intricate and involved prom updo hairstyle, you can also put some embellishments into your stylish elegant updo hairstyle – cute hair pins, barrettes, rhinestones, and other fun things. Many girls and women choose to have a hair updo for their wedding, prom, or elegant event, so take a look and see if it is right for you.

- Keep your long hair down. Many girls have very beautiful hair, and their beautiful hair might not be highlighted enough in an updo. If this is the case with your hair, you should consider keeping your hair long.

Beautiful long hair will look great with your dress – just add a few sparkling barrettes that match the color of your dress, and you are all set.

- Simple and elegant hairstyles. In-between of hair updos and wearing your hair down, in a very simple style, without anything intricate, there are millions of other hairstyles. Look for a hairstyle that flatters you, that goes well with everything else you will be wearing – your dress, your shoes, etc.

Look for a hairstyle that will look good at the type of the event you are going to. Some hairstyles are great for afternoons, while others are great for evenings. If your event has a specific theme, you might want to look for a hairstyle that will be appropriate for that theme.

Above all, look for a hairstyle that will let you enjoy yourself and have fun at your elegant event!
