Amanda Tapping — the actress who played Col Samantha Carter on both Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis, who now stars as Dr Helen Magnus in Sanctuary – is seen here arriving at the Entertainment Weekly Magazine/The Sci Fi Channel party. The gala was held to celebrate The San Diego Comic Con in California on July 26, 2008.

Though she’s been seen as a blonde throughout her Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis runs, Amanda Tapping dyed her hair dark brown for her new role in Sanctuary. (See Amanda Tapping with blonde wavy hair here!)

Also in attendance at Comic Con were several of Amanda Tapping’s Stargate costars, including Richard Dean Anderson (Jack O’Neill), Chris Judge (Teal’c), Michael Shanks (Daniel Jackson), Lexa Doig (Dr Carolyn Lam, as well as the real-life Mrs Michael Shanks), Ben Browder (Cameron Mitchell) and Beau Bridges (Hank Landry).
